As a force of habit I did exactly what was told not to do. Clean the tawa with soap when it was hot.
Then I used the instructions for reaseasoninh, which was not too much of work.. and the tawa is back to ideal state and it works like a non-stick tawa.. I really enjoy it.
Localized heating is there a bit.. that you can adjust by moving the tawa a bit while cooking

Vinod tawa is Preseasoned good. Dont cook at high flame. Heat at low to medium flame before making dosa. Extreme heat will destroy seasoning and you need to season yourself to cook again. I use onion dipped in oil to save seasoning after every 3-4 dosa. Happy iron tawa cooking. Follow instructions given in Manual for better usage.
I made this rawa dosa and it didn't stick to the tawa. Working like non stick. It is quite heavy so washing and maintainence is quite troublesome.

At first i was a little worried while deciding to buy the tawa as there were mixed reviews about it. But after receiving the product i am feeling relieved. It is as expected. A lot of people complained that it is heavy but we cannot expect cast iron to be of light weight. Further to prevent rusting and retain the seasoning we have take the initial care as instructed like we take of any other cast iron cookware for the first few months to make it work life long be it from whichever brand. After using it for 3 days i could now differentiate the tawa from the one we get from local vendors. The finishing is excellent but seasoning doesn't stay long, it is like a blackened layer which comes off just by slight scrubbing. You will have to depend on your own seasoning. The one which i had purchased locally and seasoned myself doesn't require reseasoning if used regularly and the seasoning layer also never comes off. But still I like the product because i do not have put any effort in cleaning the product which i had to put while cleaning those i purchased locally. And it doesn't require so much of seasoning time which the local ones take. Look at the dosa i made. How easily it came off. It is just that give it some time. Use it regularly. It will work amazingly
