We, at Vinod Cookware, are always striving to improve the quality of cookware to enhance cooking experiences, intelligently. With our SAS Bottom Cookware and Triply Cookware that are built using SAS Technology, we are proud to say we have revolutionised the Indian kitchen. What is SAS? Why is it revolutionary? What makes it one of the best cookware in the Indian market? We will break it down for you.

As the name suggests, SAS is a triple layer (also known as triply) construction where the cookware is made out of three layers of metal in the following sequence:

Stainless Steel – Aluminium – Stainless Steel.

The SAS sandwiched technology is constructed in the following manner:

  1. The first layer is Stainless Steel: Starting from the inside, the inner layer is made with 18/8 stainless steel that is food grade.
  2. The second layer is Aluminium: Aluminium helps distribute heat evenly ensuring a well-cooked meal.
  3. The third layer is Stainless Steel: The outermost layer is made from 430 grade stainless steel.

Now that you understand how SAS cookware is manufactured, you will have a better grasp of why it is a revolutionary product.

The first layer of 18/8 grade stainless steel is made of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Chromium helps the cookware to be resistant to corrosion and oxidation while nickel makes it more durable. This form of stainless steel is best-suitable for food preparation. If properly maintained, these utensils can last you a lifetime.

Aluminium in the second layer is encased between the two stainless steel layers ensuring it does not come in contact with the food directly. Aluminium is used in cookware manufacturing because it is an excellent metal that distributes heat evenly. However, it is prone to degradation and using aluminium cookware for a long time is known to pose quite a few health risks. Vinod Cookware’s SAS sandwiched technology uses aluminium in cookware intelligently for its heat distribution properties only.

The outermost layer of 430 grade stainless steel is widely used in cookware manufacturing for many reasons. Amongst others, this type of stainless steel metal is resistant to corrosion and has a more appealing polish which gives it a stylish look & feel. Further, 430 grade stainless steel has magnetic properties making it easier to cook on induction stove as well. For induction stove to work, the utensil must be magnetic in order for the cooktop's magnetic energy to be transformed into heat energy on the utensil. Using the right kind of technology, we have bought you cookware that is effortless to use & looks stylish too.

Stainless steel and Aluminium have been used in making cookware for a long time now. However, it was lacking the right composition and technology in construction. Vinod’s SAS Cookware elevates traditional cooking using advanced technology to provide for healthier lifestyle needs. Our SAS Cookware range of products helps you cook meals to absolute perfection without burning them or neutralising the minerals and vitamins.

Just like the right ingredients are the key to a delicious meal, the right equipment is the key to you being successful in the kitchen.
